At Wee Care we believe that the first years of a child’s life are fundamentally important. These are the cornerstone years that shape a child’s future.
We believe that children grow, learn and develop rapidly when they receive love, warmth, attention, encouragement, mental stimulation and nutritious well-balanced meals, with this in mind we promote in all of our nurseries:
Joanne McErlane (Antrim Road branch)
Hi, my name is Joanne and I have worked for Wee Care since 2009. When I came to work for Wee Care I started in the Toddler Unit, through gaining more child care qualifications I was able to work my way up to where I am today, Coordinator of our Chichester Park South Branch.
I've always wanted to work with children for as long as I can remember and couldn’t believe my luck when I got the job within Wee Care. I love knowing every day that I provide care, comfort and a loving environment for the children. A place where parents know they can leave their children to be cared for in a safe and stimulating environment allowing them to go to work without any worries or concerns.
I've worked hard over the years gaining a Childcare Diploma in Day Care Management, NVQ 3 in Childcare Learning and Development, First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Safety and Child Protection which I am also a Designated Safe Guarding Officer in my own nursery, so I can give the best to my staff and the children I care for.
In my spare time I love getting to spend it with my own family, my partner and two boys aged 19 and 12 years old, even though they’re older we all still enjoy going on walks together with our dog Toby, going to the cinema or just chilling on a Sunday morning.
"My eldest daughter has been going to Wee Care for 2 & a half years now and she loves it. My baby daughter has just started and has settled in so well. All the staff are lovely, really approachable and make everything so fun for the kids. I wouldn't go anywhere else."
