Manager:
Joanne Kelly

Hi, I'm Joanne and I have been a part of Wee Care since 2009. I initially worked in the Toddler Unit at the Windsor branch, which I really enjoyed as it was a fun age group to work with. Over time, I progressed to become the Unit Head of Afterschool and then Deputy Manager after completing my Child Care and Development Level 3 course. In 2012, I took on the role of coordinator at the Windsor branch. In Autumn 2017, I moved to our Antrim Road branch and continued to advance my career by achieving my Level 5 in Day Care Management. I love spending time away from the office, getting to know all the children in the rooms, watching them grow from babies and transition to bigger rooms in the nursery. Working at Antrim Road brings me great joy, and having a wonderful team to work with makes my job much more enjoyable.

Our Ethos

At Wee Care we believe that the first years of a child’s life are fundamentally important. These are the cornerstone years that shape a child’s future.

We believe that children grow, learn and develop rapidly when they receive love, warmth, attention, encouragement, mental stimulation and nutritious well-balanced meals, with this in mind we promote in all of our nurseries:

  • a happy, fun-loving and relaxed atmosphere
  • a warm, loving, safe and caring environment
  • the use of positive language and behaviour at all times
  • dedicated, professional, long-term and highly qualified staff
  • healthy eating
  • the creation of a home from home-like environment
  • flexibility in childcare options
  • equality, irrespective of gender, race, religion or disability

Testimonial:

"Wee Care is a fantastic day care nursery. Every Unit my grandson has went through has been fantastic. The place is so homely and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. I worked there myself for 12 years and nothing my daughters went there and now my grandson just graduated today. There are some staff there from when I worked and trained there. A really lovely bunch of girls."
