Manager:
Heather Patterson

Hello, my name is Heather and I am the manager here at Wee Care Windsor.

I  have been involved in education and childcare for over 8 years now. My journey began after graduating with a Primary Education Degree through which I further specialised in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. I taught for a number of years within EYFS and KS1 before I transitioned into a nursery setting, initially as a deputy manager and room leader before taking on the managerial role.

I am passionate about providing a caring and nurturing environment for all children and have completed additional training in childhood mental health, supporting children with ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) as well as importance of play and developing Speech and Language among others .  As one of the designated Child Protection Officers, I also hold certifications in Paediatric First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene and safeguarding to help ensure the nursery is providing high-quality care and learning during the crucial years of children's lives.

There aren’t many jobs where you can say you are greeted with smiles and hugs each day so I count myself very lucky!  I can honestly say the best part of my role is seeing faces light up and hearing the giggles of joy as our children have fun and create lasting memories along the way!

Our Ethos

At Wee Care we believe that the first years of a child’s life are fundamentally important. These are the cornerstone years that shape a child’s future.

We believe that children grow, learn and develop rapidly when they receive love, warmth, attention, encouragement, mental stimulation and nutritious well-balanced meals, with this in mind we promote in all of our nurseries:

  • a happy, fun-loving and relaxed atmosphere
  • a warm, loving, safe and caring environment
  • the use of positive language and behaviour at all times
  • dedicated, professional, long-term and highly qualified staff
  • healthy eating
  • the creation of a home from home-like environment
  • flexibility in childcare options
  • equality, irrespective of gender, race, religion or disability

They have an amazing app that allows you to see what they've been up to in nursery that day and what they've been eating etc. Everybody here is so welcoming, accommodating and so lovely. Jack loves the girls in babies and will put his arms out for them when I drop him off now. So glad that I chose wee care Windsor. All the staff are very lovely and very w"
