Manager:
Kenda Laverty

I'm Kenda Laverty, the Manager of Mulberry Bush by Wee Care in Coleraine where I have proudly served for 28 years. I have a degree in social care, childhood and youth studies, as well as a spectrum of qualifications in management and child development—including expertise in child psychology and counselling—I am deeply committed to the well-being and growth of the children under our care.

As one of the designated Child Protection Officers, I hold certifications in Paediatric First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, and Safety, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every child.

My affinity for children has been a lifelong passion, igniting from my earliest memories to the present day. I firmly believe that each child is a unique individual who brightens our days, even during their most challenging moments, where they inspire us to be our best selves.

Drawing from both personal and professional experiences as a mother of two and grandmother to four, I've cultivated a profound understanding of family dynamics and child development. This background enables me to provide empathetic support to our families and to guide and empower our dedicated staff.

When my baby did the settling in period, they were flexible to suit us and not only were they great with her but also with me.
