Our People

Lauren Burton (King's Road branch)

Hello, my name is Lauren Burton and I am the Coordinator at Kings Road. I joined the Wee Care team in 2014 after working for 11 years at a local toy store. I began working in our Toddler Branch where I completed my Level 3 diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development and worked my way up to Unit Head. I moved to Kings Road in 2018 to take on the challenging role of Deputy Coordinator and was delighted to be reunited with some friends I had cared for as toddlers.

I hold a Level 5 diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development and I am the Designated Safeguarding Officer for Kings Road. I am trained in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Fire Awareness. I also hold Level 3 certificates in ASD Conditions and Child Psychology.

I am a busy Mum of three and my family and I spend a lot of time camping and exploring the great outdoors. Outdoor play provides a multitude of benefits to young children. It helps to build confidence and actively promotes physical development, motivation and creativity. We have a fantastic (award winning) outdoor space here at Kings Road filled with a variety of challenging equipment, toys and natural resources.

It's a wonderful thing to be able to come to work every day and enjoy it. We have a great team here and every day is filled with fun and laughter, I am excited to see what the future will bring!
